FAQs

Gingers on the Hill

What time is check-in and check-out?

You are welcome to check-in from 3pm and check-out is 11am

Can we check-in early or late?

You are welcome to request this, and we always try and accommodate where possible, however we can only confirm this the day prior to your arrival/check-out so we can plan for other bookings that may arise.

Can we bring our pet?

Unfortunately, the property is not suitable for pets due to fencing not being fully secured and we also have resident wombats that we need to be mindful of.

Do you supply firewood?

Yes we do! We will keep you very toasty.

What is the max no. guests we can book for?

Gingers whole house booking – can accommodate a max of 6 adults plus children, to a max of 9 people (infants can be included in addition to this no. but we do need to know how many infants are staying to ensure we can accommodate) This is to ensure everyone is comfortable and generally the kids room is most suitable for little people. Please inquire directly if you need to clarify anything.

Gingers for 2 booking – is for a 2 person stay only with access to the main queen bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Infants (under 2 years) can be included, please include this information on your booking.

Do I have private use of the house under the ‘Gingers for 2 booking’?

Yes, you have exclusive use of the property.

Is Gingers wheelchair friendly?

Gingers is on a steep sloped block with access to the house via a steep cement driveway or numerous steps. We are endeavouring to provide as much info as possible for all accessibility needs. Please enquire with us directly if you cannot find the information you need on our website.

Can you walk to town from Gingers?

Yes, you can. It is approximately a 10 minute lovely walk down the hill to the Warburton township and river.  The return walk does involve a steep hill which may not be suitable for people with mobility issues or very young children. You can certainly push a pram up the hill for a good work out.

Do you allow functions or events at Gingers?

No, unfortunately due to the quiet nature of the residential street, we are not suitable for functions or events.

Can I book Gingers for a wedding stay?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate wedding stays, including wedding party members, and usually wedding guests.  This is due to the narrow nature of the ‘no through rd.’ which makes extra traffic such as shuttle bus drop offs/pickups not possible. The narrow road and turn around is limiting to the extra traffic understandably required for busy wedding stays.

‘Gingers for 2’ option can certainly be booked for post wedding, honeymoon stays for just 2 people.
